Airtel Africa has launched an exciting new campaign, #SmartaWithData, in collaboration with three internationally acclaimed African artists—Fally Ipupa from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania, and Simi from Nigeria. This initiative seeks to educate and engage Airtel customers on how to maximize the value of their data bundles for a better digital experience.

The collaboration with these star artists involves the creation of a special song designed to offer customers practical tips on how to effectively manage and utilize their data. From browsing the internet to streaming content and using essential apps, the song serves as an educational tool for everyday data use. This initiative aims to reach Airtel Africa’s customer base, primarily young people aged 18-35, across seven African countries, including Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Zambia, and Malawi. The campaign is part of Airtel Africa’s ongoing #SmartaWithData campaign, which is centered on providing customers with the tools to make more informed decisions about their data usage.

Rohit Marwha, the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Airtel Africa, highlighted the campaign’s goal of helping customers get the most out of their data bundles. “Our goal with this campaign is to ensure that our customers get the most out of Airtel data bundles, thereby enhancing their online experience,” Marwha said. “In collaborating with these artists, who our customers love and engage with on a daily basis, we ensure that they are aware of these data hacks and can seamlessly adopt usage and management of their data through clear messages that resonate with them.” The #SmartaWithData campaign empowers Airtel customers by offering valuable tips on optimizing their data usage. It also encourages them to share their own tips, fostering a community of informed and engaged users.
