As away of inproving on the health sactor of villages in Uganda, the Ruparelia Foundation Chairman Dr Sudhir Ruparelia has joined fellow rotarians to raise and donate 50 tricycle village ambulances to villages so as to save pregnant mothers in local areas.
At a function which took place at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Dr Sudhir was recognize by the Rotary Club of Uganda and Tanzania for his kind heart, loving and changing people’s lives.
At the same function, the Prime Minister of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah flagged off the first 50 tricycle village Ambulances donated by Rotary international.

The Premier who represented president Museveni lauded Rotarians for offering voluntary services to the under previleged in various service delivery and quality health care initiatives.
“Thank you very much. The President welcomes the idea of having a well facilitated tricycle ambulance in every village in Uganda,” she said.District Governor Rotarian Peace said, the 50 tricycle ambulances will enhance timely referral of mothers and newly born babies in hard to reach places.
He said this is a pilot project targeting Wakiso, Kabarole and Kabaale. It will be rolled out in the entire country depending on the availability of resources.
He added that the tricycles will be registered under Ministry of health and will be situated at health center 111s where most marternal mortality cases are reported.
