Kanye West has once again sparked controversy with a heated rant on X (formerly Twitter). On March 19, 2025, he launched a series of posts aimed at Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Future, reigniting old rivalries in the hip-hop world.
Future became one of his main targets. Criticizing his feature on Playboi Carti’s new album MUSIC, Ye wrote, “AFTER LISTENING TO CARTI’S ALBUM IMA SAY SOMETHING I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SAY … FUTURE’S WASHED.”
Kendrick Lamar also faced harsh criticism. West dismissed his success and questioned his influence. In one post, he wrote, “KENDRICK SOUND LIKE A R*PIST.” He followed up with another jab, claiming, “NOOOOBODY HAS EVER LISTENED TO KENDRICK OR KNOWS ANY OF HIS SONGS.”
Ye also revisited the Drake vs. Kendrick feud, voicing his dislike for Lamar’s Grammy-winning diss track Not Like Us. He posted, “I HAAAAAATED NOT LIKE US.” Despite his criticism of Kendrick, he insisted that Drake was more deserving of a Super Bowl halftime show. He tweeted, “I ACTUALLY KIND OF LIKED KENDRICK’S HALF TIME SHOW BUT ME OR TRAV OR FAOT (AKA DRAKE) DESERVED A SUPER BOWL BEFORE KENDRICK.”
Drake wasn’t spared either. West mocked his fashion choices, posting a photo of him in bright yellow shorts, blue cowboy boots, and a matching beanie. With sarcasm, he wrote, “CRIME… I DIDN’T KNOW BRO WAS STARRING IN BARBIE 2.” He also questioned Drake’s credibility and his presence in Australia.
However, Ye didn’t just throw shade. He also praised 50 Cent, calling him the “GOAT” by posting a simple white goat emoji. Additionally, he complimented Lizzo, stating, “AMAZING TALENT.”
