Taylor Swift will take the stage at the 2025 Grammy Awards as a presenter, the Recording Academy confirmed Thursday. However, it remains unclear which category the global superstar will present.
Swift is also among the top contenders of the night, with her album The Tortured Poets Department earning nominations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. Her hit song “Fortnight” is also nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Additionally, her collaboration with Gracie Abrams, “us”, is up for Best Pop Duo Performance.
Star-Studded Grammy Lineup
The 2025 Grammy Awards will feature electrifying performances from major artists, including Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, and Shakira. Several Best New Artist nominees will also perform, including Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Benson Boone, Doechii, RAYE, and Teddy Swims.
Beyoncé leads the night with 11 nominations, followed closely by Charli XCX and Post Malone, who each earned eight nominations.
Swift faces tough competition in the Album of the Year category, going up against Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, Jacob Collier, Sabrina Carpenter, and André 3000.
Beyoncé, who holds the record for the most Grammy wins, has been nominated five times for Album of the Year but has never won. Many fans speculate that this could finally be her moment.
As The Hollywood Reporter’s Lori Majewski noted, Beyoncé’s Netflix debut of eight Cowboy Carter songs and her spectacular NFL Christmas Gameday performance may have been a strategic move to remind the Recording Academy of her historical impact.
