Ugandan MP Urges Unity and Focus on Education

Kabale District Woman MP, Hon. Atwakiire Catherine Ndamira, has cautioned the public against letting politics divide them and emphasized that politics is a temporary endeavor. She made this statement during the celebration of St. Theresa Day, where St. Maria Theresa Primary School and St. Theresa Vocational Secondary School came together to commemorate the occasion.

As the guest of honor, Hon. Atwakiire acknowledged the competitiveness of her position, which attracts many contenders. She urged the public not to engage in harmful conflicts but to allow God to choose their leaders, as she has never quarreled with her opponents.

She encouraged students to prioritize education for a brighter future, emphasizing that their school’s background does not matter; what matters is the knowledge they gain. Additionally, the Kabale Diocese Vicar General, Msgr. John Vianney Sunday, encouraged students to work diligently and aim for perfect scores through regular revision.

The event also raised over 12 million Ugandan shillings to support the rehabilitation of the Science Laboratory at St. Theresa Vocational Secondary School.
