Four of Uganda’s most renowned music video directors—Marvin Musoke, Aaronaire On Set, Edrine Paul, and Simon SPK—have joined forces to empower aspiring filmmakers through the Frame The Beat Music Video Workshop.
With over five years of experience and more than 100 music videos, these directors have helped shape Uganda’s visual music landscape, accumulating over 5 million views in the process. Now, they are giving back by mentoring the next generation of creatives.
Hands-On Filmmaking Experience
The five-day intensive workshop, scheduled from February 17 to 21, 2025, will take place at Cams & Grip Film Studios, Busabala. Participants will get practical training and contribute to a real music video project for the popular Ugandan group B2C.

Expanding Opportunities for Young Creatives
While Uganda’s music industry has seen remarkable growth, many talented individuals struggle to enter the field. The Frame The Beat workshop seeks to bridge this gap by:
✔ Enhancing production quality through expert training.
✔ Connecting young creatives with established industry professionals.
✔ Making filmmaking more accessible to those in remote areas.
✔ Providing ongoing mentorship beyond the workshop.
A Vision for Regional Expansion
Beyond just a single event, the organizers envision scaling the program regionally, allowing more young creatives to benefit from world-class filmmaking education. Additionally, they aim to establish a mentorship network to support participants in their careers.
“This isn’t just theory—participants will immerse themselves in every aspect of music video production,” the organizers emphasized.
By investing in the next wave of filmmakers, Frame The Beat is set to redefine Uganda’s music video industry, pushing it toward global recognition.
