October 13, 2025

The Kampala City Festival 2025 burst to life in a spectacular display of unity, rhythm, and color — and at the heart of it all was Dr. Hamis Kiggundu and Ham Group of Companies, whose presence electrified the event from start to finish.

From the break of dawn, Kololo Ceremonial Grounds transformed into a sea of red, yellow, and black as thousands of revelers gathered to celebrate Kampala’s cultural heartbeat.

Leading the celebration was Dr. Kiggundu, whose UGX 200 million contribution set a record as the largest private sponsorship in the festival’s history. His dedication to uplifting Kampala’s image and supporting community development earned admiration from every corner of the city.

By 10 a.m., the streets from Buganda Road to Kololo had turned into a river of jubilation. Over 4,000 Ham Group staff marched proudly in branded attire, their coordinated display of unity reflecting the strength of corporate partnership in national celebrations.

Ten decorated trucks representing Ham Group’s subsidiaries followed closely behind, each showcasing the brand’s diversity — from construction and real estate to education and technology.

As music filled the air, performances by Ava Peace, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, and the Watoto Children’s Choir captured the crowd’s hearts. The energy, amplified by thousands of voices, painted a picture of a city united in pride and progress.

Government leaders, including Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, Hon. Kabuye Kyofatogabye, and Hajjat Sharifah Buzeki, joined the festivities, praising Ham Group’s patriotic contribution to national events.

As the sun dipped behind the skyline, Dr. Kiggundu shared a powerful message — that the private sector must work hand in hand with government to drive innovation and unity.

The festival climaxed in fireworks that painted the Kampala night sky, illuminating the faces of thousands waving flags and singing the national anthem. The moment embodied everything Ham Group stands for — progress, partnership, and pride in the Ugandan spirit.

In every smile, every dance step, and every shared moment, the 2025 Kampala City Festival reflected a renewed sense of hope. And through it all, Ham Group shone as the spark that lit the city’s brightest celebration yet.
