The attack occurred early on Monday, August 5, 2025, in Shozi Village, Gisorora Parish, Nyakabande Sub-county, and is believed to be linked to an alleged incident of adultery.

The Brutal Incident

The victim, identified as Ivan, was reportedly beaten unconscious by Julius, the owner of a local bar, alongside his accomplices, Mfitimukiza Papius (also known as “Vibe”) and Ssimwe. Ivan was later found unconscious and rushed to Kisoro Hospital for medical treatment. Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, confirmed the arrests of the suspects and emphasized that investigations were underway. He condemned the act of mob justice and reiterated that all individuals are entitled to due process under the law.
