The Central Motor Club (CMC) today elected new leadership during its annual general meeting held at Kabira Country Club.
Young tycoon, Rajiv Ruparelia, was elected as the new chairperson of the CMC board of trustees.
Other members on the board of trustees include Christakis Fitidis as vice chairperson while Nelson Walusimbi was elected treasurer among others.
Rajiv sounded optimistic that members will continue with the spirit of raising adequate resources for the club.
Meanwhile Shaym Kotecha was elected the new CMC club chairperson. He will be deputized by Kakeeto Sayid.
Speaking shortly to the press after the general meeting, Shaym Kotecha noted that one of his major focus will be to grow the sport in a more organised and structured manner.
During the meeting, a total of Shs 102 million was raised by members to support the activities of the club.
